Heroes exist in this world

Sometimes
in the most
unlikely places.

Imagine this:
You board a flight
on Southwest Airlines,
from Albuquerque, NM
bound for Oregon.

As you make your way
down the aisle
to your seat,
you see a man in black,
with piercings -
everywhere,
and you swear
he's carrying
a voodoo doll.
You try to keep
from looking at him
for long.
You notice a baby
with her mom
in the seat in front of him
and you hope
she doesn't talk to him.

You near Oregon,
watching pine trees
out the window,
and experience
turbulance.

You see a reflection
in the window,
and glance over
just in time to see,

the mom freak out,
throw up her arms,
the baby go flying,
right into the seat behind her.

The man in black
catches her,
holds her close to him
and sings
rockabye baby
until she falls asleep.
